Tel-Tru Digital Industrial Thermometers

Tel-Tru's Digital Thermometers are designed to deliver reliable accurate readings in the toughest industrial environments.  All models are built to order using our wide range of configurations, delivering customers exactly what they need. Our industrial automation sensors are commonly implemented to monitor temperature and to ensure processes operate most effectively.

DIGI-TRU® Thermometers feature a digital sensor for maximum precision, and a lifetime battery that lasts a minimum of eight years.

DIGI-TEL® Thermometers feature an RTD sensor (Pt1000 2-wire), 4-20mA output, and battery or loop powered configurations.

As the industry leader, we manufacture a complete line of rugged, accurate, and dependable process automation thermometers, in more configurations than any other manufacturer. When selecting your digital instruments, it is important to take into consideration the many options available.

General Digital Thermometer Questions:

  • What are the application details? These may include continuous process flow, static tank, or laboratory testing.
  • What are the environmental conditions, such as ambient temperature, humidity, or corrosive atmosphere (salt spray etc.)?
  • Will the wetted material of the process thermometer be compatible with the measured medium?
  • What lens material will be best for the application?

Thermometer Model Type:

  • What size display is needed?  How far away will the user be when reading the thermometer?
  • Is the application direct mount or remote mount?
  • Is a 4-20mA output needed?
  • Where should the fitting connection be located for maximum readability when thermometer is installed in the system (back, adjustable angle, bottom, top, right side or left side)?
  • What fitting thread size and type will you need?

Digital Thermometer Stem:

  • Is there a required immersion length to ensure accurate measurement?
  • What stem length and diameter are best for your application?

Temperature Range:

  • What is the overall temperature range that is required?
  • What are the minimum and maximum over-range possibilities?
  • What is the accuracy that is required?
  • What scale would you need (°F or °C)?

Options and Accessories

  • Would you also require a thermowell?
  • Do you require custom or special dial markings or colors?
  • Do you need any special connections or fittings?
  • Do you require thread size adapters?
  • Is "project tagging" an option that you would want?
